[Pre-order] Zilent® V2 Switches (Silent Tactile)

Blue Zilent: 62g

This is a pre-order, Updated Shipping time frame is 3rd week of November 2024.

One order = 10x switches.

All Zilent V2s have reduced wobble that's less than Holy Pandas, while managing to be even more tactile with a bigger, smoother bump as well. Bump starts at the top of the key press.

Voted Best modern keyboard or company - Deskthority Awards 2016

"I can assure you that Zealios are the way to your feelios." - ChucklingKumquat

Zilent V2 switches come in 4 variants. They are rated at "bottom out" force, not actuation! Dampener has been redesigned, tactility has been improved as well.

  • 62g - Transparent, PCB Mount [Tactile, non-clicky]
  • 65g - Transparent, PCB Mount [Tactile, non-clicky]
  • 67g - Transparent, PCB Mount [Tactile, non-clicky]
  • 78g - Transparent, PCB Mount [Tactile, non-clicky]

Tactile feeling for the different switch weights:

  • 62g Zilent - Smooth, crisp and light, a bit heavier than MX Browns in weight, but offer a much smoother experience with a crisper and large tactile bump feedback when compared to Holy Pandas. Lightest variant Zilent.
  • 65g Zilent - Smooth, long, drawn out tactile bump from the top. Nice cushion during bottom out.
  • 67g Zilent - "Crisp & responsive" tactile bump feeling at the very top with more cushion during bottom out than 65g Zilent V2.
  • 78g Zilent - For those that prefer a slightly lighter MX Clear, but want a bigger and smoother bump than MX Clears / Holy Pandas. Tactile bump is round and snappy at the very top. From beginning to end, the spring is heavier than all other Zilent variants.

Please note that PCB mounted switches can still be used in many plate mounted keyboards. As long as your PCB underneath has 2 extra holes next to the center post, it will support PCB Mounted switches and add extra rigidity to your build. If your PCB does not have the extra holes, then you can simply cut the small plastic legs off to make them Plate-Mount!

Amazing stems, great housing, weak legs, lube absent. Few shades from perfect.

I absolutely love the stems in these switches, brilliant silencing without any noticeable mush. The stem bump is better than Halo stems from the Holy Panda in my opinion. The lower housing material is great and the tolerances between the upper and lower is good, however the upper lacks with a small bit of stem wobble compared to my Gateron Milky Yellow Pros. Out of the Boba U4/U4Ts, Holy Panda and these I think these have the most satisfying bump.

There are downsides however. The pins are quite fragile and particularly sensitive to being pushed up into the lower housing, damaged the leaf and tactility in the process. Really don't attempt to use these if your hotswaps are even slightly grippy, these are soldering switches 100%. I re-inforced mine with JB weld to work with my Mill-Max sockets but still had a few failures with this. There also appears to have been no factory lubing, which isn't a problem for many but worth noting. This meant the OOB experience of the switch had noticeable leaf and spring ping and could've been smoother. I fixed this with GPL 205g0 on the rails, and carefully globbed dielectric grease in the loop/U-bend and in the heart of the the leaf (avoiding the leaf bumps and surrounding the center mast) which essentially completely eliminated ping. However despite these downsides I'm definitely coming back for more, they're great switches. To get 5 stars, given the price, they should have lubed the rails or used 0.8mm PCB pins for the legs instead of folds of metal connected straight to the leaf.

I used my Zilents to make a frankenswitch which I think is almost perfect.
Zilent lower, Zilent stems, Panda upper housing, and TX 16mm long 67g springs. The Panda upper housings I used reduced stem Zilent wobble to get it slightly better than either respective switch and it also reduced the pre-travel. The springs made an improvement to the tactility. The results of this are an outstanding silent tactile switch. It wouldn't be possible without those brilliant stems. No idea what to call them, maybe Zilent60P? Hope the feedbacks useful and that there's a V3 of these switches. Cheers.

Near dead silent, yet tactile

I needed a quiet switch for typing while on Zoom calls. Linear switches are quiet, but the feel is so terrible you might as well type on bubble domes. These Zilent switches (mine are 67 gram) are as quiet as linears yet with a noticeable tactile bump that improves the feel. Typing feel and feedback is always a compromise with silent switches, but these are the best I've found.

Epic but with a flaw

The experience from these are amazing. I switched from Kalih Box Black and these are better in every way. Lightweight, smooth, just amazing.

When they are this pricy then i feel that this flaw shouldn't appear. When I type on my keyboard the switches seem to make some kind of metallic echo sound, which is a bit annoying to be honest. I didn't experience this when i used Kalih Box Black.

Great switches otherwise! Recommend!
